4. Summary of Position
A Shift Leader is responsible of coordinate, develop and guide our FOH Team by example, ensuring the creation of positive emotional connection through great environment between our Team Members and the WoW experience for our Guests, following and promoting each of our standards and policies.
This position is one of the previous positions to become a Restaurant Manager.
5. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively leads the Restaurant through Sharky’s systems during a shift to ensure
excellence in restaurant operations
• Leads each shift by delegating tasks and following up to ensure Team Members
are set up for success
• Active in training and development of Team Members
• Contributes to a Team environment by recognizing and reinforcing
accomplishments / standards
• Execution of inventory system
• Execution of productivity matrix / schedules
• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote Sharky’s Culture
• Exhibits proficiency throughout the restaurant in order to assist where needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the restaurant through execution of side
work charts by station
• Maintains a positive emotional connection for and with Team Members and
Guests during each shift
• Greet Guests to make them feel welcome and comfortable
• Ensure Guest’s receive menu items according to Sharky’s standards
• Ensure salsa bar, condiments, ice tea and fountain drinks are maintained at
company standard
• Follows sanitation and food safety procedures
• Maintains consistent attendance and is punctual
6. Qualifications: (all of the Cashier & Cook qualifications plus)
• Excellent Guest service skills
• Able to take direction, delegate and follow-up on Team responsibilities
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively to help keep all Team Members informed
• Must be at least 18 years of age or 21 when required by beverage alcohol laws
• Certified in One Minute Manager Leadership
• Certified Guest Resolution skills
• Certified Conflict Resolution skills
• Serve Safe Certified
• Alcohol Beverage Served Certified (Servend)
7. Experience:
Customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant environment
